Experts at University College London have set a new record for maximum speed of internet by transferring data from 178 terra bits per second to optical fiber. Easy to understand that 1500 videos with 15 gigabytes at this speed can be downloaded in just one second.
The previous record for data transfer from optical fiber was 150.3 terabits per second, set in Japan in 2018. The current record of maximum speed of internet is about 18.5 percent faster than previous. You can visit and see the Global Index
Although this success has been achieved on an experimental and limited scale, experts say that after a small and minimal cost shift in the existing infrastructure of optical fibers, the technology will be able to make the Internet incredibly fast with greater convenience.
It should be clear that the average speed of broadband internet worldwide is 81.46 megabits per second, while the average speed of the 4G mobile internet is 34.51 megabits per second. With a total of 110.9 megabits per second, the United Arab Emirates is the 1st in the world.
